Monte Vista Mustangs (Danville, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA), 52-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Monte Vista upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Acalanes (Lafayette, CA) to play the Dons in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Dons come into the bout with a record of 3-2. Acalanes won 67-65 in their recent non-league bout against De Anza (El Sobrante, CA)

Next up, the Highlanders play the De Anza Dons (El Sobrante, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Piedmont will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Dons come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 67-65 non-league loss to Acalanes (Lafayette, CA).
