December 7, 2023: Placentia, CA 92870 The Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA) basketball felled the host Valencia Tigers (Placentia, CA), 61-42 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Sailors (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Portola (Irvine, CA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Portola was beaten by San Clemente (San Clemente, CA), 70-25, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Yorba Linda for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Valencia will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 50-35 non-league win over Irvine (Irvine, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.
