Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Churchland Truckers (Portsmouth, VA), 67-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Western Branch upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Bruins travel to Lakeland (Suffolk, VA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a Southeastern bout on Friday, December 15. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 4-1.

Next up, the Truckers clash with the Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. Churchland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 70-12 league loss to Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA).
