The Floydada Whirlwinds basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host Hermleigh Cardinals to 61 in the Whirlwinds non-league victory on Thursday.

The Whirlwinds now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clarendon for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Floydada will battle a Broncos team coming off a 51-48 non-league win over Elk City (Elk City, OK). The Broncos record now stands at 10-1.
