In Saturday's non-league test, the Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) basketball squad defeated the visiting Temple City Rams (Temple City, CA), by a score of 51-38.

Next, the Vikings clash with the Compton Tarbabes (Compton, CA) in a non-league test, on Monday, December 9. Downey will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Tarbabes come into the test with a 2-4 record after their 98-60 non-league loss to Taft (Woodland Hills, CA).
