Iowa High School Basketball - North Scott can't get by Marquette
December 7, 2024: Eldridge, IA 52748 Marquette Defenders (Bellevue, IA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host North Scott Lancers (Eldridge, IA), 90-83 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Marquette advances its record to 3-0 on the year. The Defenders host Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA) to meet the Irish in a Tri-Rivers match on Tuesday, December 10. The Irish enter the match with a record of 2-0.
The Lancers now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Muscatine for a Mississippi match on Tuesday, December 10. North Scott will meet a Muskies squad coming off a 83-57 non-league win over Iowa City (Iowa City, IA). The Muskies record now stands at 2-0.
