December 7, 2024: Winfield, IA 52659 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mendon Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL) and the host Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves (Winfield, IA), observed Mendon Unity's basketball team overwhelm Winfield-Mt. Union by a margin of 52-21.
The Mustangs (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Rushville-Industry (Rushville, IL). The Rockets come into the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Rushville-Industry was trounced by Illini West (Carthage, IL), 48-35, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wolves battle the Hillcrest Academy Ravens (Kalona, IA) in a SEI - North challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Winfield-Mt. Union will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Ravens come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 55-35 league loss to Columbus (Columbus Junction, IA).
