Maryland High School Basketball - Glenelg holds off Hammond
December 8, 2021: Glenelg, MD 21737 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Glenelg Gladiators (Glenelg, MD) and the visiting Hammond Golden Bears (Columbia, MD), saw Glenelg's basketball squad hold off Hammond by a tally of 64-62.
With the victory, Glenelg improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Centennial (Ellicott City, MD) to confront the Eagles in a Howard County challenge on Friday, December 10. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Centennial lost 55-39 in their recent league challenge against Atholton (Columbia, MD)
Next up, the Golden Bears confront the Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD) in a Howard County challenge, on Friday, December 10. Hammond will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 53-49 league loss to Long Reach (Columbia, MD).
