Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) and the visiting Harnett Central Trojans (Angier, NC), saw West Johnston's basketball squad overcome Harnett Central by a tally of 75-62.

With the victory, West Johnston improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC) to confront the Saints in a 3A Conference 21 challenge on Friday, December 17. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Trojans confront the Westover Wolverines (Fayetteville, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 23 challenge, on Friday, December 10. Harnett Central will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 50-33 league loss to Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC).
