The Southwestern Randolph Cougars basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Asheboro Blue Comets to 44 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinity for a 1A/2A Conference 31 contest on Thursday, December 9. Southwestern Randolph will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 53-38 non-league loss to West Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.

The Blue Comets (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Western Alamance (Elon, NC). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Western Alamance was routed by Orange (Hillsborough, NC), 54-46, in a league contest.
