In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), by a count of 64-40.

The Braves (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Murphy (Murphy, NC). The Bulldogs go into the 1A Conference 43 outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Murphy was crushed by Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA), 49-29, in a non-league outing.

The Mountaineers now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Cocke County for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 14.
