The Paramount Pirates basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Animo Pat Brown Gryphons to 30 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Legacy College Prep for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 21.

The Gryphons (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Firebaugh (Lynwood, CA). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Firebaugh was routed by South El Monte (South El Monte, CA), 59-44, in a non-league contest.
