Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) and the host Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA), saw Glenvar's basketball squad hold off Blacksburg by a tally of 57-53.

With the victory, Glenvar improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA) to confront the Blue Demons in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 9. The Blue Demons come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Christiansburg lost 58-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Radford (Radford, VA)
