The Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Valley Central Vikings to 58 in the Crusaders non-league victory on Thursday.

The Crusaders now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lakeland for a non-league contest on Friday, December 9. Monroe-Woodbury will battle a Hornets team coming off a 61-37 non-league win over John Jay (Cross River, NY). The Hornets record now stands at 2-0.

The Vikings (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Minisink Valley edged Burke Catholic (Goshen, NY), 39-38, in a non-league contest.
