Arizona High School Basketball - Washington overwhelms Cortez

December 8, 2022: Phoenix, AZ 85051

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Washington Rams (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ), saw Washington's basketball squad wallop Cortez by a tally of 70-36.

With the victory, Washington improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Youngker (Buckeye, AZ) to confront the Roughriders in a 5A Central Valley challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Roughriders come into the challenge with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Colts confront the Marcos de Niza Padres (Tempe, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 12. Cortez will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Padres come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 47-10 non-league loss to Prescott (Prescott, AZ).
