The Desert Vista Thunder basketball team scored 86 points and held the visiting Desert Edge Scorpions to 33 in the Thunder non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Thunder now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Queen Creek for a 6A Central game on Friday, December 9. Desert Vista will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 66-20 non-league loss to Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, Desert Edge moves to 4-5 on the year. The Scorpions host Canyon View (Waddell, AZ) to face the Jaguars in a 5A Desert West game on Wednesday, December 14. The Jaguars enter the game with a record of 6-2.
