Galena Bears (Galena, MO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Verona Wildcats (Verona, MO), 54-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Galena upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Bears travel to Sheldon (Sheldon, MO) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Sheldon won 48-38 in their recent league bout against Bronaugh (Bronaugh, MO)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Purdy Eagles (Purdy, MO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 15. Verona will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
