North Carolina High School Basketball - Kinston topped by New Bern
December 8, 2022: Kinston, NC 28501 The New Bern Bears basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Kinston Vikings to 26 in the Bears non-league victory on Thursday.
The Bears now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Havelock for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. New Bern will battle a Rams team coming off a 39-24 non-league win over Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC). The Rams record now stands at 1-2.
The Vikings (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against West Carteret (Morehead City, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 5-0 record. In their last contest, West Carteret prevailed over Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC), 39-19, in a non-league contest.
