December 8, 2023: Bushnell, FL 33513 The South Sumter Raiders (Bushnell, FL) basketball felled the visiting IMG Academy Black Ascenders (Bradenton, FL), 61-47 in Friday's non-league test.
The Raiders (5-0) will now prepare for their test against Citrus (Inverness, FL). The Hurricanes go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Citrus was beaten by Springstead (Spring Hill, FL), 68-31, in a non-league test.
The Ascenders now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Parrish Community for a non-league test on Thursday, December 14. IMG Academy Black will encounter a Bulls squad coming off a 65-61 non-league win over Bayshore (Bradenton, FL). The Bulls record now stands at 6-2.
