Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the United Longhorns (Laredo, TX) and the host Marshall Rams (San Antonio, TX), saw United's basketball squad hold off Marshall by a tally of 53-52.

With the victory, United improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Ralston Valley (Arvada, CO) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 15. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Ralston Valley won 62-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, CO)

Next up, the Rams play the Clark Cougars (San Antonio, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 28 challenge, on Friday, December 15. Marshall will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 67-54 non-league loss to Brennan (San Antonio, TX).
