Iowa High School Basketball - Marshalltown holds off Mason City
December 8, 2023: Mason City, IA 50401 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Marshalltown Bobcats (Marshalltown, IA) and the host Mason City Mohawks (Mason City, IA), saw Marshalltown's basketball squad hold off Mason City by a tally of 65-64.
With the victory, Marshalltown improves its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Lincoln (Des Moines, IA) to confront the Railsplitters in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Railsplitters come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Lincoln lost 49-41 in their recent league challenge against Hoover (Des Moines, IA)
Next up, the Mohawks confront the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 9. Mason City will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 60-49 league win over North Polk (Alleman, IA).
