Arkansas High School Basketball - Rural Special nips Viola
December 8, 2023: Fox, AR 72051 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Rural Special Rebels (Fox, AR) and the visiting Viola Longhorns (Viola, AR), saw Rural Special's basketball squad hold off Viola by a tally of 57-55.
With the victory, Rural Special improves its record to 4-10 on the campaign. The Rebels host South Side (Bee Branch, AR) to play the Hornet in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 11. The Hornet come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. South Side won 62-57 in their recent league challenge against Quitman (Quitman, AR)
Next up, the Longhorns play the Koshkonong Blue Jays (Koshkonong, MO) in a non-league test, on Monday, December 11. Viola will attempt to advance on its 8-9 season record. The Blue Jays go into the test with a 4-2 record after their 44-33 non-league win over Naylor (Naylor, MO).
