The Wilkes-Barre basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting West Scranton Invaders to 46 in the non-league victory on Friday.

The now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hazleton Area for a Wyoming Valley 1 contest on Tuesday, December 12. Wilkes-Barre will battle a Cougars team coming off a 65-62 non-league loss to Reading (Reading, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-2.

The Invaders (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Pittston (Pittston, PA). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Pittston was nudged by Greater Nanticoke Area (Nanticoke, PA), 51-47, in a league contest.
