In Friday's non-league outing, the Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) basketball squad beat the visiting Amite School Center Rebels (Liberty, MS), by a count of 40-32.

The Hornets (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Puckett (Puckett, MS). The Wolves go into the non-league outing with a 4-4 record.
