Iowa High School Basketball - Knoxville tops Davis County
December 8, 2023: Knoxville, IA 50138 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Knoxville Panthers (Knoxville, IA) and the visiting Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA), saw Knoxville's basketball squad knock off Davis County by a count of 63-49.
With the victory, Knoxville upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Chariton (Chariton, IA) to play the Chargers in a South Central challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Chariton won 64-26 in their recent league challenge against Centerville (Centerville, IA)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Fairfield Trojans (Fairfield, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 9. Davis County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 40-36 non-league loss to Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA).
