Oregon High School Basketball - Junction City tops Newport
December 8, 2023: Junction City, OR 97448 Junction City Tigers (Junction City, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Newport Cubs (Newport, OR), 45-33 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Junction City upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Klamath Union (Klamath Falls, OR) to play the Pelicans in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Pelicans come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Klamath Union won 63-38 in their recent non-league bout against Santiam Christian (Corvallis, OR)
Next up, the Cubs play the Santiam Christian Eagles (Corvallis, OR) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Newport will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 63-38 non-league loss to Klamath Union (Klamath Falls, OR).
