Texas High School Basketball - North Mesquite ripped by Tyler
December 8, 2023: Mesquite, TX 75150 The Tyler Lions basketball team scored 52 points and held the host North Mesquite Stallions to 26 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Longview for a 5A Region II District 15 contest on Tuesday, December 12. Tyler will meet a Lobos team coming off a 52-39 non-league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 12-4.
The Stallions (5-15) will now prepare for their contest against Poteet (Mesquite, TX). The Pirates enter the 5A Region II District 12 game with a 7-10 record. In their last game, Poteet routed The Colony (The Colony, TX), 48-30, in a non-league game.
