December 8, 2023: Cornish, ME 04041 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME) and the host Sacopee Valley Hawks (Cornish, ME), saw Old Orchard Beach's basketball squad hold off Sacopee Valley by a tally of 37-32.
With the victory, Old Orchard Beach improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Seagulls host Monmouth Academy (Monmouth, ME) to confront the Mustangs in a C South challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Monmouth Academy lost 43-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Maranacook (Readfield, ME)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) in a C South challenge, on Monday, December 11. Sacopee Valley will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 36-30 non-league loss to Telstar (Bethel, ME).
