New York High School Basketball - Phoenix bounced by Marcellus
December 8, 2025: Phoenix, NY 13135 The Marcellus Mustangs basketball team scored 69 points and limited the host Phoenix Firebirds to 46 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Monday.
The Mustangs now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Troy for a non-league game on Saturday, December 13. Marcellus will confront a Flying Horses team coming off a 69-49 league win over Schalmont (Schenectady, NY). The Flying Horses record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Phoenix falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Skaneateles (Skaneateles, NY) to confront the Lakers in a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 9.
