Ohio High School Basketball - Wheelersburg overwhelms Northwest
December 8, 2025: McDermott, OH 45652 The Wheelersburg Pirates basketball team scored 60 points and limited the host Northwest Mohawks to 10 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Monday.
The Pirates now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Walnut Ridge for a non-league game on Saturday, December 13. Wheelersburg will play a Scots team coming off a 77-12 league win over West (Columbus, OH). The Scots record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Northwest falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Mohawks host Minford (Minford, OH) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 11. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Minford won 58-24 in their recent non-league bout against Symmes Valley (Willow Wood, OH)
