Washington High School Basketball - Olympia nips Sumner

December 9, 2021: Olympia, WA 98501

Olympia Bears (Olympia, WA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sumner Spartans (Sumner, WA), 49-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Olympia upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Bears host Battle Ground (Battle Ground, WA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 11. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Battle Ground lost 76-65 in their recent non-league bout against Mountain View (Vancouver, WA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Bellarmine Prep Lions (Tacoma, WA) in a 4A South Puget Sound bout, on Saturday, December 11. Sumner will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
