The Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) basketball nipped the visiting Perry Commodores (Lima, OH), 50-48 in Thursday's league test.

The Comets (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Fredericktown (Fredericktown, OH). The Freddies go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Fredericktown was tipped by Northmor (Galion, OH), 58-47, in a league test.

The Commodores now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Jefferson for a non-league test on Monday, December 13. Perry will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 42-29 non-league win over Bluffton (Bluffton, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-0.
