Faulkton Trojans (Faulkton, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD), 57-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Faulkton upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Trojans host Redfield (Redfield, SD) to clash with the Pheasants in a non-league bout on Monday, December 13. The Pheasants go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Redfield won 57-18 in their recent non-league bout against Tiospa Zina (Agency Village, SD)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Iroquois/Doland (Iroquois, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 14. Wessington Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
