Illinois High School Basketball - Galena tops Rockford Christian
December 9, 2021: Rockford, IL 61107 Galena Pirates (Galena, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Rockford Christian Royal Lions (Rockford, IL), 45-26 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Galena upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Durand (Durand, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 11. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Durand lost 58-18 in their recent league bout against Lena-Winslow (Lena, IL)
Next up, the Royal Lions play the Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) in a Big Northern bout, on Thursday, January 6. Rockford Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
