In Friday's non-league match, the host Amherst County Lancers basketball team scored a decisive 73-46 triumph over the Waynesboro Little Giants.

In their next game, the Lancers meet the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 12. Amherst County will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 0-4 record after their 70-66 non-league loss to Culpeper County (Culpeper, VA).
