North Carolina High School Basketball - Carmel Christian routs Porter Ridge

In Friday's non-league outing, the Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), by a count of 82-42.

The Cougars (10-1) will now prepare for their outing against Northwood (Pittsboro, NC). The Chargers go into the non-league outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Northwood was crushed by Cannon (Concord, NC), 74-64, in a non-league outing.

The Pirates now hold a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Olympic for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 13. Porter Ridge will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 63-62 non-league win over Northside Christian Academy (Charlotte, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 6-0.
