The Clinch County Panthers basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Cook Hornets to 51 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Berrien for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Clinch County will battle a Rebels team coming off a 59-41 non-league win over Brooks County (Quitman, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 3-4.

The Hornets (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Irwin County (Ocilla, GA). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Irwin County was defeated by Berrien (Nashville, GA), 59-39, in a non-league contest.
