Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lytle Pirates (Lytle, TX) and the host Fredericksburg Billies (Fredericksburg, TX), saw Lytle's basketball squad hold off Fredericksburg by a tally of 51-49.

With the victory, Lytle improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to St. Augustine (Laredo, TX) to confront the Knights in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 9. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. St. Augustine won 63-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Bandera (Bandera, TX)

Next up, the Billies confront the Llano Yellowjackets (Llano, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Fredericksburg will attempt to improve on its 10-2 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 66-61 non-league win over Dublin (Dublin, TX).
