Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) and the visiting Pottsville Crimson Tide (Pottsville, PA), saw Hazleton Area's basketball squad wallop Pottsville by a tally of 52-30.

With the victory, Hazleton Area improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Reading (Reading, PA) to confront the Red KNights in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 12. The Red KNights come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Reading won 68-65 in their recent non-league challenge against Cardinal O'Hara (Springfield, PA)

Next up, the Crimson Tide confront the Tamaqua Blue Raiders (Tamaqua, PA) in a Schuylkill County 1 challenge, on Monday, December 12. Pottsville will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Blue Raiders come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 51-30 league loss to North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA).
