The Ithaca Yellowjackets basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Valley Lutheran Chargers to 59 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Friday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Montcalm for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13.

The Chargers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Carrollton (Carrollton, MI). The Cavaliers enter the Tri-Valley - West contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Carrollton was nudged by Standish-Sterling (Standish, MI), 44-32, in a non-league contest.
