The Swallows Charter Academy Spartans basketball team (Pueblo West, CO), was overwhelmed 49-21 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Las Animas Trojans (Las Animas, CO)

The Trojans now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host La Veta for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 10. Las Animas will confront a Redhawks team coming off a 41-29 non-league win over South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] (Vilas, CO). The Redhawks record now stands at 1-1.

The Spartans (0-5) will now prepare for their battle against Holly (Holly, CO). The Wildcats come into the 3A/2A Santa Fe battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Holly trounced Swink (Swink, CO), 69-57, in a league battle.
