New York High School Basketball - Watkins Glen fells Newark Valley
December 9, 2022: Watkins Glen, NY 14891 Watkins Glen Senecas (Watkins Glen, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Newark Valley Cardinals (Newark Valley, NY), 55-43 in a league bout.
With the win, Watkins Glen upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Senecas host Waverly (Waverly, NY) to clash with the Wolverines in a Section 4 Interscholastic - South Large bout on Monday, December 12. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Waverly lost 59-51 in their recent non-league bout against Chenango Forks (Binghamton, NY)
Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Notre Dame Crusaders (Elmira, NY) in a Section 4 Interscholastic - South Large bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Newark Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record.
