Texas High School Basketball - Manvel crushes Dobie
December 9, 2022: Houston, TX 77089 Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Dobie Longhorns (Houston, TX), 49-18 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Manvel upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Friendswood (Friendswood, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 5A Region III District 18 bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 10-11. Friendswood won 46-43 in their recent non-league bout against St. Agnes Academy (Houston, TX)
Next up, the Longhorns play the Deer Park Deer (Deer Park, TX) in a 6A Region III District 22 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Dobie will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Deer go into the bout with a 15-3 record after their 67-26 non-league win over Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX).
