North Carolina High School Basketball - East Mecklenburg fells Rocky River

December 9, 2022: Charlotte, NC 28212

East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rocky River CMS Athletics (Mint Hill, NC), 39-29 in a league bout.

With the win, East Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 2-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Garinger (Charlotte, NC) to play the Wildcats in a 4A Conference 59 bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Garinger lost 40-24 in their recent league bout against Butler (Matthews, NC)

Next up, the CMS Athletics play the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Rocky River will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 52-30 league win over Hough (Cornelius, NC).
