In Friday's league outing, the Harding County Ranchers (Buffalo, SD) basketball squad beat the visiting Newell Irrigators (Newell, SD), by a count of 41-25.

The Ranchers (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Lead-Deadwood (Lead, SD). The Golddiggers go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Lead-Deadwood was topped by Bennett County (Martin, SD), 54-36, in a non-league outing.
