Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Hoover Cardinals (San Diego, CA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Pointers confront the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 12. Point Loma will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 1-1 non-league Olympian (Chula Vista, CA).
