Red River Roughriders (Grand Forks, ND) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bismarck Demons (Bismarck, ND), 59-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Red River upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Roughriders host Grand Forks Central (Grand Forks, ND) to play the Knights in a AA East bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Grand Forks Central won 86-40 in their recent non-league bout against St. Mary's Central (Bismarck, ND)

Next up, the Demons play the Mandan Braves (Mandan, ND) in a AA West bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Bismarck will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 74-53 non-league win over Shanley (Fargo, ND).
