Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Morenci Wildcats (Morenci, AZ) and the visiting Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets (Lakeside, AZ), saw Morenci's basketball squad wallop Blue Ridge by a tally of 66-40.

With the victory, Morenci improves its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Santa Rita (Tucson, AZ) to confront the Eagles in a 2A East challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Santa Rita lost 55-19 in their recent league challenge against Benson (Benson, AZ)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets confront the Coolidge Bears (Coolidge, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 11. Blue Ridge will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 64-46 non-league win over Payson (Payson, AZ).
