New York High School Basketball - Canarsie can't hold off Saint John Paul the Great Catholic
December 9, 2023: Brooklyn, NY 11236 The Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Canarsie Chiefs to 54 in the Wolves non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Wolves now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop McNamara for a non-league contest on Monday, December 11. Saint John Paul the Great Catholic will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 72-62 non-league win over Nicolet (Glendale, WI). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-2.
The Chiefs (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Wagner (Staten Island, NY). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Wagner was nudged by Lincoln (Brooklyn, NY), 75-74, in a non-league contest.
