In Saturday's non-league match, the host Central Lions basketball squad scored a big 68-36 victory over the Handley Tigers.

With the victory, Central improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Heard County (Franklin, GA) to play the Braves in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 14. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Heard County lost 62-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, GA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Spring Garden Panthers (Spring Garden, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Handley will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 52-46 non-league loss to Trion (Trion, GA).
